Our leadership team sifts through thousands of painting and sculptures in an attempt to find the perfect piece to tell the story. This process, which includes artist approvals, often takes months.
ART IS CONFIGURED
Our amazing volunteer team of artists, seamstresses, construction, and fabricators determine the scale of the artwork. Because we need to recreate the artwork to actual human proportions, our recreations often scale to very large proportions.
ART IS RECREATED
Our team painstaking recreates the art recreating what the original artists intended to the best of our abilities. In the end, their amazing efforts turn wood, foam, metal, plaster, glue, and fabric into beautiful pieces of artwork.
CAST IS SELECTED
Almost 70 volunteers are needed to fill cast roles in The Story. Once selected, many art pieces are molded around their bodies to not only recreate the art as accurately as possible, but also make the space as comfortable as possible.
MUSIC IS CHOSEN
The directors and producers sift through music to determine which songs accurately represents the artwork and intention of the script.
MAKEUP IS APPLIED
Over 20 gallons of professional makeup is applied to the cast each year, matching them to the original artists colors and designs, while also considering theatrical lighting and other factors. Some cast are covered head to toe. This process often takes multiple test and rehearsals to perfect.
THE PRESENTATIONS
After many months and thousands of hours of preparation, we meticulously light the artwork, weave together the music and carefully scripted narration, and present to you God’s Redemptive Plan Through Living Art.
